In the framework of investment projects:
“Expansion of the Navoi TPP with the construction of the second 450 MW combined cycle plant” and “Construction of the Turakurgan TPP” with the use of JAIKA funds concluded “turnkey” contracts with a consortium of Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (Japan ) This year, the introduction of these projects is envisaged.
“The construction of two combined cycle plants with a capacity of 230-280 MW at the Takhiatash TPP” was signed on a “turnkey” basis with HYUNDAI Engineering Company Limited in conjunction with Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company Ltd. (Korea) with ADB funds.
“Implementation of highly efficient cogeneration gas-turbine technologies at the Ferghana Thermal Power Plant and the city boiler RK-3” identified the general contractors - “Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd” and “Marubeni Utility Services Ltd” (Japan) for the supply of equipment with the participation of NEDO funds.
"Phased modernization of the Syrdarya TPP" a contract was signed with the Russian company "Power Machines" with the attraction of funds from Vneshekonombank (RF).
In addition, within the framework of the upcoming visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan (December 2019), it is planned to sign Loan Agreements with JAIKA for the implementation of promising investment projects “Construction of the third 650 MW combined cycle power plant at Navoi TPP” and “Development of potential of the energy industry”.
Also, under the projects “Construction of the fourth 650 MW combined cycle power plant at Navoi TPP” and “Construction of the 130-150 MW power unit at Angren TPP with cogeneration for burning high-ash coal (stage 2)”, the issue of financing from JAIKA and Eximbank of China is being worked out.
In order to increase the generating capacities of the Talimarjan TPP and the Tashkent TPP, investment projects were launched to build two new CCGT units with a capacity of at least 900 MW and two gas turbine units with a capacity of 54 MW, with the assistance of ADB, JAIKA and EBRD. For these projects, it is planned to announce tenders for the selection of general contractors on a “turnkey” basis in accordance with IFI procedures, which will be posted on the official website and the media.
